 Components

Use

The components for an order (order BOM) which has only been backflushed partially, are displayed on this detail screen. This method shows you which components have been selected for the order. You can also fix component requirements manually, to protect them against changes caused by a subsequent renewed planning run. You can cancel a fixing, or change the product number and the quantity of a component. This also leads to a fixing.

Note Note

You cannot process phantom assemblies and the individual components of a phantom assembly (for example, fix them, replace them with another product number, or change the quantity). It is also not possible to add phantom assemblies to the order or to remove them from the order and you cannot add components to a phantom assembly or remove them from a phantom assembly.

Prerequisites

To display components in the detail area, use a detail profile assigned to the detail screen COMPFUNC. For more information about the profiles, see Preparatory Measures . You select the detail profile in the User Settings.

If you work with the Rapid Planning Matrix (RPM),

  • The Fixing Allowed indicator must be set in Customizing for the Rapid Planning Matrix (RPM) under Define Global Settings .

  • A planning matrix must be generated for the RPM product

If you work with the individual explosion within iPPE, you do not have to set an indicator.

Features

In planned order management , the functions of the components are listed on the Components tab page.

Only the components for the selected planned order which are only partially backflushed are listed.

The following data is displayed:

  • Fixed indicator

  • Structure node

  • Class type and class

  • Product

  • Variant in iPPE

  • Production supply area

  • Total quantity, requirement quantity, withdrawal quantity

  • Requirement date

The following functions are available to you in change mode:

If you have already partially backflushed (Status “ partial backflush ”), you cannot change the planned order any more.

Change components

You can change the product or the required quantity of a component.

The system fixes the changed components and all further components of the structure node once you have saved using Comp.Chge.

Insert components

You can insert a new component to a structure node which is already in the order.

Select a component of the structure node and choose . By doing this, the row is copied. Change the product and the required quantity in the new row.

The system fixes the changed components and all further components of the structure node once you have saved using Comp.Chge.

By saving using Comp.Chge. the system fixes all of the components of the planned order.

Delete components

If you delete a component with ,

  • the component of a structure node, will be fixed with the quantity 0.

  • a structure node with several components, will remove the components which you have deleted, and fix the other components. If you have deleted all of the components of a structure node, a component will be fixed with the quantity 0.

If you delete a component with , the component will be removed from the component list.

Fix components

Using , you can fix a component which you have previously selected. The system fixes at the same time all components of the structure node.

As soon as a component is fixed, the indicators “Output fixed “ and “Input fixed” are set in the order overview.

Using , you can only fix all components of the planned order at the same time.

Remove fixing

If you remove the fixing for a component using , for a component which you have changed, deleted, or inserted, the changes to the affected structure node, and the data will be taken out of the Rapid Planning Matrix (RPM) again.

If you have removed the fixing for all components, the indicators “Output fixed” and “Input fixed” will be deleted from the in the order overview.

Using you can remove the fixing for the planned order in general.

The indicators “Output fixed” and “Input fixed” are deleted in the order overview.

Caution Caution

If you delete a component ( ), fix a component, ( ) or remove the fixing ( ), the system automatically adopts the changes.

If you change or insert a component, the system only adopts the changes, once you have saved with Comp.Chge.

Activities

  1. For more information about a planned order, select the planned order in the Order Overview and choose .

    The system transfers the planned order to the detail area.

  2. In the detail area, select the Components tab page.

  3. To switch to the change mode, choose .

  4. Choose the required function.
