 Action control

Use

When using the action handler, you start actions manually with individual planned orders for production preparation, in a business controlled form (first execute the ATP check for components, then release orders and so on).

Prerequisites

To display tracking information in the detail area, use a detail profile assigned to the detail screen ACT_HD. For more information, see Preparatory Measures . You select the detail profile in the User Settings.

You use the component Action Handler , and have defined standalone actions and action networks in Customizing in the process step Maintain Settings for Action Handler (transaction /N/SAPAPO/AHC1).

Features

In planned order management , the functions of the Action Handler are listed on the Action Handler tab page.

There are two types of Actions , which you can carry out manually:

  • Actions which have been linked together according to business criteria in order to form an Action Network (first carry out ATP check for components, then release orders). The definition of the action network in Customizing ensures that the actions can only be carried out in a sequence that makes sense for your business.

The actions in of the action network and their position within the network are displayed on the left-hand side of the tab page.

  • Standalone actions are actions which you can carry out at any point during the production process (for example, send notifications, print documents)

These actions are displayed on the right-hand side of the tab page.

You can carry out both types of actions directly from the tab page.

If necessary, you can specify parameter values for the parameters that you defined before carrying out the actions.

You can assign an action network to the planned order using the standalone action Assign Action Network to the Order

You can assign an action network to the planned orders using either the action 01SAP_ASSIGN_ACTIONNET or BAdI /SAPAPO/RPP_ORD_CONV.

Activities

  1. For more information about a planned order, select the planned order in the Order Overview and choose .

The system transfers the planned order to the detail area.

  1. In the detail area, select the Action Handler tab page.

  1. In order to switch to the change mode of the action network, choose on the left of the tab page.

  1. In order to switch to the change mode of the standalone actions, choose on the right of the tab page.

  1. To execute a particular action, choose next to the action.

In the case of actions for which you can set the parameters, a dialog box appears, in which you have to enter and confirm the parameter values that you want to use.
