Optimization You can use the optimization to calculate the order sequence and production dates. Various optimization procedures are available. See also: Procedures
The optimization tries to take the following parameters into account:
Runtime
Restrictions
Earliness/lateness of sales/stock orders
The selected procedure and the corresponding procedure profile decides which restrictions are taken into account and the priority (hard/soft) with which these restrictions are taken into account or whether the lateness/earliness of orders is considered.
The optimization is integrated in the planning run in Model Mix Planning .
The optimization is integrated in Sequencing and can be accessed interactively for all planned orders in one day or one shift, and for a selected partial quantity of planned orders. See also: Optimization in Sequencing and Optimizing Subsets
In Customizing for the SAP Advanced Planner and Optimizer, under the
Basis Settings
, you have maintained the master data for the optimization, such as the network links to the optimization server and the maximum number of users, for example.
In Customizing for Model Mix Planning you have defined a
procedure profile
for the various procedures.
In Customizing for Model Mix Planning, you have grouped the procedures in a
procedure package
and have assigned the procedure profiles in the procedure package.
You access the optimization log from the initial screen of the model mix planning run using the
Log
function key. You can also access the log directly using transaction SLG1.Enter MMP as the object and MMP_RUN as subobject (for the logs of the planning run) or SEQ_INTERACTIVE (for the logs of the optimization you started in sequencing).
Using transaction /SAPAPO/OPT_STOP you can terminate the optimization you started in sequencing using the genetic algorithm (with or without graphic). On accessing the transaction, the system displays the overview of the optimization processes. You can select the optimization session in question and terminate it using the
Stop
key.
