    Determine the resource type.

Enter a description for the production resource and a class if applicable.

  4. Check the proposed basic data .

For production resources of type operating facility , you can also enter the type of operating facility. You can select material or document . You can also specify the number of operating facilities required.

  5. Check the resource data .

You must set the capacity planning indicator, because capacity planning always takes place in the SAP APO system for primary resources. If the indicator is not set, the resource is not transferred to the SAP APO system via the APO Core Interface (CIF). You can enter a name in the resource field, which is used to generate an APO resource in the SAP APO system when the data is transferred. You must specify which resource type is to be generated in the SAP APO system. The system proposes Single-Activity for the resource type. This type is intended for employees and operating facilities.

For more information about APO resource, refer to the APO documentation.

  6. Choose Create .

The system automatically creates the production resource. You return to the mode detail screen where you can maintain more data.

  7. Save the data.

The system saves the production resource and mode data at the same time.
