Reading Data
Use
The data is read.
Prerequisites
The files must have been specified before and made known to the LSMW.
Features
You can:
· Process all the data of the project once.
· Make a selection of data, e.g. for test purposes.
Activities
· If you want to process all the data associated with the project, choose Execute in step Read data. This starts the reading process.
· If you want to migrate a part of the data only, you can limit the volume of data to be migrated on screen General selection parameters. Select your data in the From/to transaction number fields. You have the option of selecting transaction numbers several times.
Furthermore, you can set the following indicators:
Amount field |
Amount fields are converted to the calculation format (with decimal point). |
Date values |
Date fields are converted to the internal format (YYYYMMDD). |
If you are using a wildcard in the file names of the input files and you defined at least one value for the wildcard, a selection parameter for the wildcard will be displayed as well. If you do not make an entry in these fields, all the wildcard values defined are processed.
If you marked one or several source fields as selection parameters when defining them, these fields will be offered as selection parameters as well.
The system first checks whether the program that reads the data is still up to date. If not, the program will be generated automatically.
