Assigning Files 

Purpose

Assigns the files already defined to the source structures.

Prerequisites

In step Specify files, you have defined the files, that is, made them known to the system. The LSMW now knows the specified files and defaults them for assignment.

Process Flow

...

       1.      From the list of steps, choose Assign files.

       2.      Switch to the change mode.

       3.      Position the cursor on a structure.

       4.      Choose Assign file.
A dialog box appears

       5.      Select the corresponding file.

       6.      Confirm by choosing Continue.

 

If you want to change an assignment, you have to delete the existing assignment first.

The file assignment continues to exist even if you subsequently change file names and attributes.

Result

The files have been assigned to the source structures.
