ABAP instance

A CCMS agent is automatically installed on the ABAP central instance. You do not have to install or configure anything.

Java Instance

A CCMS agent is automatically installed on the Java central instance. However, you must set up GRMG monitoring as follows:

  1. Log on to the relevant Java host and change to the following directory:

    /usr/sap/<SAPSID>/JC<instance_no>/j2ee/admin/

  2. Start the Visual Administrator by entering the following command:

    ./go

  3. Log on with the Search_Admin user.

  4. In the navigation bar, choose   Cluster   Server   Services   Monitoring  , and choose the GRMG Customizing tab page.

  5. Expand the left half of the screen. All applications that are delivered with a GRMG customizing file are displayed.

  6. Choose sap.com/xapps~es~monitoring.

Transfer the customizing file to the CCMS agent by choosing Upload (Upload).

TREX Instance

A CCMS agent has to be installed and configured on all TREX hosts. The CCMS agents must be connected to the ABAP central instance to transmit the CCMS monitoring data.

The connection between TREX and ABAP is established by the hardware partner in the post-installation phase.
