Checking the Syntax 

Procedure

...

       1.      From the list of steps, choose Maintain field mapping and conversion rules.
A screen appears.

       2.      Choose Check syntax.
If you are in the ABAP code editor already, simply choose Check.

Result

A corresponding system message is issued if the field assignments and, consequently, the conversion program does not contain any syntactic errors.

If the field assignments and, consequently, the conversion program contains a syntax error, the system branches to the ABAP Editor where you can search for the error. After this, you correct the error in the field assignments.
