User Profiles in iPPE
The iPPE application covers several areas of master data maintenance, which means that users can create and edit a large amount of different data. User profiles preselect and restrict the quantity of data available for predefined work areas in iPPE, making it easier to work with the data.
● You can create new user profiles for iPPE Workbench Professional and copy existing profiles.
● You can edit the detailed settings for the standard SAP user profiles and for those that you define yourself.
● You can assign one or more user profiles to individual users.
● You have the option of defining a standard profile that is valid for all users that start iPPE Workbench Professional but do not have a user profile assigned to them.
● To create new user profiles or copy existing ones, in the Implementation Guide (IMG) for Integrated Product and Process Engineering, choose iPPE Interface Administration ® Define iPPE User Profiles for iPPE Workbench Professional.
For more information about creating iPPE user profiles, see the IMG under Define iPPE User Profiles for iPPE Workbench Professional.
● To assign one or more user profiles to a user, choose Integrated Product and Process Engineering (iPPE) ® User Assignment: iPPE Workbench.
In iPPE Workbench Professional, the system displays all the profiles assigned to your user under Extras ® Choose Standard Profile. The currently active profile and the standard profile are indicated. You can switch between the profiles and redefine which is to be your standard profile.
