Archiving IDocs IDocs are stored in several database tables. In order to keep these tables (and therefore the access times) as small as possible (that is to say, to reduce the load on the database) without losing any IDocs, you can also store the tables in archives at the operating system level. These archives can then be moved to external storage media, such as disks (using ArchiveLink) or magnetic tape.
