Web-enabled applications (services) for the automotive industry that suppliers can use to access manufacturer information relevant to the procurement process.

Through the Supplier Workplace (SWP) or its web-enabled applications, suppliers can directly access SAP systems that belong to the manufacturers. In this way, the SWP provides an alternative to and an enhancement of communication using Electronic Data Interchange (EDI).

For example, suppliers can:

• Display and print scheduling agreement releases and purchase orders
• Enter shipping notifications and tracking information
• Display packing instructions
• Order returnable packaging
