Copying Reusable Rules 

Prerequisites

Reusable rules already exist for a different project that can be used for your project as well.

Procedure

...

       1.      On the LSMW initial screen, choose Goto ® Administration.
A screen appears.

       2.      Open the folder of the project from which you want to copy the corresponding rule.

       3.      Position the cursor on the corresponding rule.

       4.      Choose Administration ® Copy entry.
A dialog box appears.

       5.      Specify the ID of the project (or select it from the list) to which you want to copy the reusable rule.

       6.      Choose Continue.
The reusable rule is copied.

When using a translation rule several times, you have to make sure that the input parameters (= source fields) have identical technical attributes (type and length) each.
