With this function you can put the line elements within a hierarchy level into a sequence. This means you can reproduce parallel branches or feeder lines in the production line.

• A parallel branch occurs automatically if you assign two line segments to the same preceding line segment.

• A feeder line is created if you assign two line segments to the same succeeding line segment.

Sequence relationships can be maintained only between line elements that are assigned to the same higher-level line element. For example, you cannot maintain a sequence for line segments until you have assigned all these line segments to the same line using hierarchy relationships.

In the following example you see a line structure over three levels. The line area 2 is linked with line area 1 by a sequence relationship. Both line areas are split into three stations, which are also linked by sequence relationships. A sequence relationship between station 3 and station 4 is not possible, as these two line segments do not have the same higher-level line segment. However, the relationship is formed automatically from the higher level.
