Printing of Labels and Delivery Notes

When you have finished packing ASN items or returns ASNs, you print the labels for labeling the handling units (HUs) and print the ASN or returns ASN (RASN) as a delivery note. The print function can be called automatically or manually, as follows:

Print automatically
When you publish an ASN, SAP Supply Network Collaboration (SAP SNC) automatically prints the documents in the standard system. SAP SNC uses the output device entered in your user settings in the SAP SNC system. The output device might be, for example, a printer or a fax machine. SAP SNC prints the documents in PDF format.
Print manually
You call the print function manually in ASN processing. SAP SNC generates a PDF document. You can save the PDF document as a file or else print it on the local printer connected to your PC.

Features

Automatic Printing

You control automatic printing in the Post Processing Framework (PPF) with the /SCA/BOL_DLV_PRINT action of the action profile for ASNs, /SCA/BOL_DELIVERY. The action is active in the standard system. If you have set the ASN_PPF_EXEC validation check to inactive, so that printing is performed in the background instead of via PPF, you can still override this by by setting the Inactive flag for the alert in the PPF action profile. Document Language

In the standard system, documents are printed in the user's logon language. The /SCA/BOL_DLV_LANGU Business Add-In (BAdI) allows the system administrator to set another language.

Forms for Labels

The system prints labels using the following smart form:

For an outer HU (that is, the root HU of an HU hierarchy), the /SCA/GLT_LABEL_AUTO smart form
This form is oriented toward the form for large-load carriers from the Association of the German Automotive Industry.
For an inner HU (that is, a handling unit that is packed in another HU), the smart form that you defined in Customizing for Supply Network Collaboration, under Basic Settings Printing Determine Print Forms for Labels for the supplier and the packaging material category
In addition to the standard forms that are oriented toward the standards of the Association of the German Automotive Industry (material tags for boxes and large-load carriers), you can also create and use your own forms.

Note

The active BAdI implementation /SCMB/BOL_DET_SF_SAP of the /SCMB/BOL_DET_SFORM BAdI controls that the system uses the /SCA/GLT_LABEL_AUTO label for an outer HU and does not use the label that you have defined in Customizing under Determine Print Forms for Labels for the supplier and the packaging material category.

Forms for Delivery Notes

The system prints delivery notes using the /SCA/DELIVERY_NOTE_AUTO smart form.

Information About Prepayment of Charges

For ASNs in the inbound delivery process, in the standard system, the system determines automatically whether the delivery is freight prepaid or freight collect and prints this information on the delivery note. To determine the information about prepayment of charges, the system evaluates the following Incoterms in the standard system:

Ex Works
Carriage Paid
Freight Forward

Ex Works and Carriage Paid mean that delivery is freight prepaid; Freight Forward means that delivery is freight collect. Use the /SCA/BOL_DLV_INCO BAdI if:

You want to evaluate other Incoterms
You are not using the /SCA/DELIVERY_NOTE_AUTO standard form for the delivery note

The following table describes how you print labels for HUs and delivery notes manually in ASN processing:

Print labels for HUs	You print labels on the packing screen in the HU - Hierarchical View screen area. You have the following options: If you want to print a label for a single HU, select the HU and choose Print Label. If you want to print labels for all HUs that you have created for the ASN, choose Print All Labels. If you want to print labels for an HU hierarchy or a subtree of the HU hierarchy, select the root HU of the hierarchy or subtree and choose Print HU Subtree. If you print labels for all HUs or for an HU hierarchy, SAP SNC prints the labels in the sequence specified by SAP. You can use the `/SCF/ASNHUUI` BAdI to define another sequence.
Print delivery note	To print one or more ASNs, select the ASNs on the ASN Overview screen and choose Print. You can also call the print function on the ASN Details screen.
Print tags for returns ASN items	These tags are relevant to returns processing (see Returns). To print tags for returns ASN items, select the items on the Returns ASN Details screen and choose Print Tag.

Print labels for HUs

You print labels on the packing screen in the HU - Hierarchical View screen area. You have the following options:

If you want to print a label for a single HU, select the HU and choose Print Label.
If you want to print labels for all HUs that you have created for the ASN, choose Print All Labels.
If you want to print labels for an HU hierarchy or a subtree of the HU hierarchy, select the root HU of the hierarchy or subtree and choose Print HU Subtree.

If you print labels for all HUs or for an HU hierarchy, SAP SNC prints the labels in the sequence specified by SAP. You can use the /SCF/ASNHUUI BAdI to define another sequence.

Print delivery note

To print one or more ASNs, select the ASNs on the ASN Overview screen and choose Print.

Print tags for returns ASN items

These tags are relevant to returns processing (see Returns). To print tags for returns ASN items, select the items on the Returns ASN Details screen and choose Print Tag.
