Use

The Queue Landscape window displays how the queues are distributed between the queue servers.

This window is relevant only for distributed TREX systems and only if indexing is done using a queue server.

Features

The queue distribution is displayed as a table. There is a separate row for each queue. The columns contain the following information:

Column

Description

Queue ID

Queue ID

Assigned

Displays which server the queue is currently assigned to and which server is currently active for this queue – the master queue server or the backup queue server.

<hostname>:
<queueserver_port>

Displays the queue server status and the role of the server in relation to the queue.

The queue server status is displayed as follows:

This graphic is explained in the accompanying text green or active

Server is available

This graphic is explained in the accompanying text yellow or unknown

The name server does not know the server status. The server receives this status in the start phase. If the name server can reach the server, it changes the light to green. If not, it changes the light to red.

This graphic is explained in the accompanying text red or inactive

Sever is not available

The role of the queue server is displayed as follows:

      +master

This is the master queue server for the queue. The plus sign indicates that this server is currently active.

      -master

This is the master queue server for the queue. The minus sign indicates that the server is currently not active, for example, because it is not available.

      +backup

This is the backup queue server for the queue. The plus sign indicates that this server is currently active.

This situation occurs if the master queue server has failed and a switch to the backup queue server has taken place.

      -backup

This is the backup queue server for the queue. The minus sign indicates that this server is currently not active.

Detailed View

The TREX admin tool (stand-alone) provides a standard view and a detailed view of the table. In the detailed view, the table also displays the queue path. You can use Show Details to display the detailed view.
