Supply Network Planning (SNP) (SCM-APO-SNP)
Push
distribution method used within deployment if supply exceeds demand. There are five different push rules:
- Pull distribution: Deployment covers the entire demand within the pull
deployment horizon. Distribution takes place according to the due dates defined at the demand locations.
- Pull/push distribution: Deployment immediately covers the entire demand
within the pull deployment horizon and ignores the due dates defined at the demand locations.
- Push distribution: Deployment immediately distributes all the supply
for the entire planning horizon to the demand locations, to cover all demands straight away.
- Push by quota arrangement: Deployment immediately distributes the
entire supply according to the quota arrangements that were defined for
the demand locations. The demand situation at the destination locations is ignored here.
- Push taking the safety stock horizon into account: Deployment will only
fall below the safety stock if the demand to be covered is in the safety stock horizon.
