Test Management
You can use this business scenario to manage and execute the testing of cross-system business processes. Test cases are stored on the relevant business processes or process steps and the testers work in the same structure as the project members that make the configuration.
If you are creating test plans, you can either choose the relevant test cases yourself or determine them using the Business Process Change Analyzer. You can use the Business Process Change Analyzer to create test plans that are tailored exactly to the changes you have specified.
To analyze the tests, various status and message overviews as well as functions from BI reporting are available.
You must have created a Business Blueprint in Implementation Projects and configured (Configuration) your systems before you use the business scenario.
In the test organization of SAP Solution Manager, the functions of the Test Workbench and BI reporting (Analysing & Reporting: BEx Web Applications) are reused. The Test Workbench is the SAP test environment and is available in all SAP systems. BI reporting (Analysing & Reporting: BEx Web Applications) is included in SAP Solution Manager.
You can access the functions of the Test Workbench as follows:
Via the SAP menu,
Test management comprises the following steps:
Create test plans:
When you use the functions of the Test Workbench to create test plans for a project, all test cases and transactions that were assigned to the project in the configuration are displayed. You can select test cases and transactions from this default selection and then generate a test plan.
In Work Center Test Management you also have access to the Business Process Change Analyzer. To be able to use this tool, you must prepare your Business Process Hierarchy first. You can then use the Business Process Change Analyzer to analyze business processes that are affected by a change and have to be tested again. You can create tailored test plans based on the analysis results.
In Test Plan Administration you can display, change, copy or delete test plans.
You can summarize a selection of test cases to a test package and assign the test package to a tester.
Within a test package, you can sort the test cases in test sequences.
You can assign individual test cases of a test package to different testers.
For better test execution control, you can set up a workflow that is based on a release status schema.
In the Tester Worklist, the tester sees a list of all test packages assigned to him or her.
For more information about executing the tests, see Testing.
The status info system enables you to display, print and process test plan status analyses.
The BI reporting functions enable you to display graphically formatted overviews of the status of the test plans or the processing history.

You can also use SAP Test Acceleration and Optimization to automatically test ERP business processes. Additional information is available on the SAP Service Marketplace under .
