Procedure documentation Making Settings for the Parameter-Dependent ATP Safety Stock Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Use

To allow the system to determine, calculate, and protect the parameter-dependent ATP safety stock (PASS), you must make the settings described in this document.

Procedure

       1.      In SAP CRM, choose a value for the PASS parameter that enables the PASS calculation.

For more information about the PASS parameter, see SAP Library for SAP CRM under Sales Transactions ® Sales Order ® Availability Check ® Availability Check in the Sales Order ® Controlling Availability Check in the Sales Order ® Safety Stock (PASS).

       2.      Make sure that the data in the field catalog is available so that you can choose the parameters for the PASS.

       3.      Set the PASS indicator on the ATP tab page in the Structure linklocation-dependent product master data.

       4.      Define a quantity for the safety stock on the Lot Size tab page in the location-dependent product master data.

       5.      Perform a forecast run in time series data management in Demand Planning so that the forecasted demand is available.

       6.      In Demand Planning, define percentages of the forecasted demand and the safety stock. To do so, proceed as follows:

                            a.      Create a Structure linkmaster planning object structure using the parameters from the field catalog that you want the system to check for the PASS.

                            b.      Define a Structure linkplanning area for the created master planning object structure with the two percentages for the forecasted demand and the safety stock.

                            c.      Define a Structure linkplanning book.

                            d.      Define the percentages for the forecasted demand and the safety stock.

       7.      In Customizing for the product availability check, make sure that the safety stock category SR (safety stock as requirement) is not contained in the scope of check of the availability check.

For more information, see the Implementation Guide (IMG) for SAP APO under Global Available-to-Promise (Global ATP) ® Product Availability Check ® Maintain Check Control.

       8.      Make the PASS settings in Customizing for the product availability check.

For more information, see the IMG for SAP APO under Global Available-to-Promise (Global ATP) ® Product Availability Check ® Maintain PASS Settings.
