Use

There are several options available to change the layout of promotion reports. This topic describes these possibilities.

Features

The display of promotion reports is based on the SAP List Viewer see Structure linkALV Grid Control (BC-SRV-ALV).

The following features are particularly useful in this context:

If you select all the characteristic column and then click on one of these icons, the results are sorted as in interactive planning, in a tree structure.

Find a particular value

First select the column in which you want to find the value. If you are searching for a numerical value, set the Find only Entire Word or Value indicator. Otherwise the system finds for example every occurrence of the digit 1.

Set or edit a filter

This is particularly if you want to restrict the results that are displayed without creating new settings and executing the report again. The initial data is not lost.

Views

You can change the display method- For instance you can toggle between a list and grid view, start an Excel or Lotus in-place session, or a Crystal Reports view. These last three options require additional software on the front-end computer.

Layout settings

You use this icon to save and modify your layout settings in a separate dialog box.

Expanding the tree

In addition to the normal List Viewer features you can expand and compress the results table. The left-hand column of each report table is for this purpose. Each time a characteristic value changes at an aggregate level you find a This graphic is explained in the accompanying text icon in this column. If you click on it, the values for more detailed levels are hidden and the icon changes to This graphic is explained in the accompanying text. You only see the values for tis aggregate level.

These two icons are also on the toolbar.  Choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text. to display all levels and This graphic is explained in the accompanying text to compress all levels displaying only the most aggregate level, if you set the corresponding indicator in the report settings.

Macros

As in interactive planning you can work with macros to change the display of the results table and to perform calculations on key figures. Since it is not possible to start macros manually in promotion reporting, these macros must be defined as standard macros of the type start or default macro. With regards to changing the display promotion reporting can only process macros that are based on the following functions:

·        ROW_BG

·        CELL_BG

·        ROW_VISIBLE

For more details on macros, see Structure linkAdvanced Macros. For details about the individual functions, see Structure linkGeneral and Planning Table Functions.
