Background documentation Activity WEIGHT_QUANTITY Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

The system uses this activity to add the values of the baseline forecast key figures and baseline promotion key figures per period for each data source. Then the system multiplies the respective total per period by a weighting factor you have defined for each data source. Finally, the system adds the multiplied values of all the data sources period by period and transfers the total to the combined key figure.

The following parameters are available for the activity WEIGHT_QUANTITY:

Parameter

Meaning

DS_BASELINE

DS_EVENT

Promotion key figures and their data sources

WEIGHT_FACTOR

Key figure for weighting factor and its data sources

PERIOD_SELECT

Start and end periods of the time frame for which you execute the activity

Activity class: /SAPAPO/CL_DC_WEIGHT_QUANTITY

Example

In the following example, the system considers one baseline forecast key figure, one promotion key figure, and one key figure for the weighting factor from data source 01 and from data source 02. See the following table for the parameter values:
