Macro Execution with Mass Processing
Mass processing allows you to execute macros for large numbers of products while optimizing system resources. All mass processing jobs run in the background at a time you specify.
You have created as simple a planning book as possible for this task. It contains:
- A future planning horizon only (no historical planning horizon, unless you need it for the macro)
- Only the key figures that you need to execute the macro
- No actual rows (unless they are part of the macro)
The use of a separate planning book to do a mass macro execution has performance benefits.
- In this planning book, you have defined the macros to be executed.
Create an activity.
Create a planning job.
Schedule the planning job.
Review the results in the job log, and take any necessary action.
