Example: Reserving ATPAs a sales person, you received a sales order of 100 for item I001
from customer C001
. You want to check if there is enough quantity available to deliver on 2012.08.25, and you then want to reserve that quantity. You proceed as follows:
In the SAP Business One, version for SAP HANA toolbar, choose
(Available to Promise Check
).
The ATP Check
window
appears.
In the Item field, enter I001, and choose the item.
You can see that on 2012.08.25, there are 400 items available.
As there are enough items on 2012.08.25, you create the sales order for 100 items.
Note
In the Checking Rule Details
window for the rule that is assigned to this item, if you previously selected the Perform ATP Check Automatically
checkbox, and there is sufficient quantity available, the application automatically confirms
the required quantity. For more information, see Defining ATP Checking Rules.
When performing the ATP check again you can see that there are 300 items left on 2012.08.25, which means, the quantity of 100 is reserved for your sales order.
