Procedure documentationStarting Workflow Instances and Visualizing the Process of the Instances

 

A workflow instance is an actual occurrence of a series of business tasks or events that follows a certain workflow template. You can start and visualize instances for different business types by using previously defined workflow templates.

Prerequisites

  • You have the authorization to access the Workflow Instance window.

  • You have the authorization for at least one workflow template.

Procedure

  1. From the SAP Business One Main Menu, choose Start of the navigation path Administration Next navigation step Workflow Next navigation step Workflow Instance End of the navigation path. The Workflow Instance window appears.

  2. From the Workflow Template dropdown list, select a workflow template on which the instance is based.

  3. The visualization pane displays the image of the selected workflow template.

  4. Choose the Action pushbutton, and choose Start. A new workflow instance starts.

    Note Note

    If you have defined a start parameter in the workflow template, after you choose Start, the Workflow Start Parameter window appears.

    Specify the value of the parameter, to target the specific business object to perform in the corresponding task.
