Use this window to specify detailed information about the campaign.

Campaign Details
Campaign Type

Select from the dropdown list the type of the campaign.

You can view the type information of a campaign in the Campaign window. Options include: E-Mail, Mail, Fax, Phone Call, Meeting, SMS, Web, and Other.

Note Note

When you select an execution method in step 4 that is different from the campaign type you specify in this step, the wizard execute campaign as you instruct in step 4. And the Campaign Type information you specified in step 2 is not affected. To view the campaign information, choose Start of the navigation path Business Partners Next navigation step Campaign End of the navigation path. For example, you create a campaign with the type ofWeb. In step 4, the application default your choice as Generate URL. However, you choose to Generate External List at last. An external list is generated, and the campaign data is saved with the campaign type of Web.

Target Group Type

Select the type of the target group for which you create the campaign.

  • Customer (for customers or leads)

  • Vendor
Owner

Opens the List of Employees window. Select one employee from the list to take charge of this campaign.
Target Group

Opens the List of Target Groups window. Select one group as the targeting prospects for the campaign.
Items

Opens the Items window.

Specify relevant items for the campaign. To maintain the item master data, choose Start of the navigation path Inventory Next navigation step Item Master Data End of the navigation path.
Partners

Opens the Partners window. Select relevant partners for the campaign.

To maintain the partners data, choose Start of the navigation path Administration Next navigation step Setup Next navigation step Sales Opportunities Next navigation step Partners End of the navigation path.
Campaign Template

Opens the file manager. Select a template file to import to the campaign.

The following list explains the supported template file format for each of type of campaign execution method:

  • Generating External List: No campaign template format is supported.

  • Generating E-Mail Using Microsoft Office Outlook: TXT, HTML, JPG, GIF,BMP, PNG, and Word templates.

    Note Note

    The application adds the Word template you specify into the e-mail as an attachment. For templates with other formats, the application shows the file content directly in the e-mail body.

  • Generating E-Mail Using SAP Business One Mail: TXT and Word documents.

  • Sending Fax: TXT

  • Generating URL: HTML

    Note Note

    • For HTML templates, we recommend that you specify the template name in English, because template names that contain non-UTF8 characters are not supported.

    • Make sure that the HTML template source file does not contain any CDATA statement.

Create Activities for Business Partners

Select to automatically generate an activity for each of the targeting prospect after the campaign is generated.

To view the activities created, choose Start of the navigation path Business Partners Next navigation step Activity End of the navigation path. The campaign is automatically linked to the activity. In the Linked Document tab, to view the campaign number this activity derives from, from the Document Type dropdown list, choose Campaign. The Document No. field displays the linked campaign for this activity.
