Procedure documentationDefining Alert Settings

 

You can define alerts to automatically send an internal or external message, by e-mail, SMS or fax, to selected users in the system whenever certain events occur.

The alert settings are user-specific, optional and can be changed at any time.

Prerequisites

You have started the alert service for the current company on the server side. For more information, see the Administrator's Guide.

Procedure

  1. Choose Start of the navigation path Administration Next navigation step System Initialization Next navigation step General Settings End of the navigation path and select the Services tab. The General Settings window appears.

  2. To display the SAP Business One internal mail inbox when a message arrives, select the Display Inbox When New Message Arrives checkbox.

  3. Define how often SAP Business One should check your inbox for updates in the Update Messages (Min.) field. The default is 5 minutes.

  4. To define whether all recurring postings for the day are displayed at logon, select the Display Recurring Postings on Execution checkbox.

  5. To enable alerts for activities scheduled for today, select the Send Alert for Activities Scheduled for Today checkbox.

  6. To save the settings, choose the Update button and choose the OK button.
