Object documentationBranches - Setup Window

Use this window to define different branches for the company. The branch information is useful when you define data ownership for an employee who is an SAP Business One user, (for more information, see Data Ownership Authorizations Window), but is otherwise mainly used for information purposes. To effectively maintain transactions for real-life branches within one company on one database, as well as define data ownership, you must enable the multi-branch function in the Company Details window. For more information, see Working with Multiple Branches.

To open this window, do one of the following:

  • Choose Start of the navigation path Administration Next navigation step Setup Next navigation step Users End of the navigation path. In the Users - Setup window, from the dropdown list of the Branch field, choose Define New.

  • Choose Start of the navigation path Human Resources Next navigation step Employee Master Data End of the navigation path. In the Employee Master Data window, from the dropdown list of the Branch field, choose Define New.

Note Note

After you enable the multi-branch function, these Define New options no longer exist. You must define branches from a different menu entry. For more information, see Branches - Setup Window.

End of the note.
