In this step, define the parameters to select the prices you want to update. This step is further split into 2 sub-steps for item selection and price selection.

In the Item Selection sub-step, you specify the selection criteria from the item perspective, that is, the prices will be updated later for the eligible items only.

In the Price Selection sub-step, you specify the selection criteria from the price list perspective, that is, only the eligible prices in the price lists will be updated later.

After you execute the update, only the eligible prices are updated in the price lists, and they are updated for the eligible items only.

Item Selection Fields
Preferred Vendor Code From… To…

Specify the range of the preferred vendor to filter the items that you want to update prices for.
Item No. From… To…

Specify the range of the item number to filter the items that you want to update prices for.
Item Group

Select the item group to filter the items that you want to update prices for.
Item Properties

Open the Properties window. Specify item properties as selection criteria.
Do Not Update Unpriced Items

Define whether to include items with no price.

By default, this checkbox is not selected.
Do Not Update Inactive Items

Define whether to include inactive items.

By default, this checkbox is not selected.
Price Selection Fields
Price List

Select a price list in which you want to update prices. This field is mandatory.

To choose multiple price lists at the same time, choose the browse button to the right of the Price List dropdown list, and the Price Lists window opens.

Note Note

In the Price Lists window, once you have selected a price list, any other price list that is directly or indirectly using it as the base price list will be selected automatically and cannot be deselected.

Primary Currency, Additional Currency 1, Additional Currency 2

Select which currency price you want to update.

By default, only the Primary Currency checkbox is selected.

You must select at least one of the currency-related checkboxes.

Currency

Select the currency in which the prices you want to update are set.
UoM

Select the UoM for which the prices you want to update are set. You can choose from the following options:

  • Manual UoM

  • Other UoM

  • Both Manual and Other UoM

When you select the Other UoM or the Both Manual and Other UoM option, the browse button to the right of the UoM dropdown list becomes available. Browse to the Units of Measure window, in which you can select multiple UoMs.
Update Only Prices That Use Selected UoMs As

Determine whether you want to update the prices use selected UoMs as inventory UoM or non-inventory UoM.

To enable the selection of the UoMs in the table, select at least one of the following checkboxes.:

  • Inventory UoM

    For inventory UoMs, prices will be updated directly when the UoMs are selected.

    For non-inventory UoMs, regardless of whether the UoMs are selected or not, prices will be indirectly updated as a result of the update of the inventory UoM prices, as long as the Auto checkbox of the non-inventory UoM is selected in the [Price List Name] - UoM Prices window.

  • Specific UoM

    The prices will be updated only when the selected UoMs are not inventory UoMs, and the Auto checkbox in the [Price List Name] - UoM Prices window is not selected.

    Note Note

    When the checkbox Update UoM Prices Independently Without Considering Conversion Rules is selected, even if the Auto checkbox in the[Price List Name] - UoM Prices window is selected, the prices set for the selected UoMs will still be updated. After the update, the conversion rules between the inventory UoM price and the specific UoM price will be broken.

Update UoM Prices Independently Without Considering Conversion Rules

This checkbox is available only if you have selected Specific UoM in the field Update Only Prices That Use Selected UoMs As field.

Prices for selected specific UoMs will be updated differently when the Inventory UoM checkbox is selected in the field Update Only Prices That Use Selected UoMs As . The update rules are as follows:

  • When the checkbox Update UoM Prices Independently Without Considering Conversion Rules is selected:

    Prices will be directly updated. After the update, the conversion rules between the inventory UoM price and the specific UoM price will be broken.

  • When the checkbox Update UoM Prices Independently Without Considering Conversion Rules is not selected:

    • For specific UoMs whose Auto checkbox is selected in the [Price List Name] - UoM Prices window, prices will be indirectly updated as a result of the price update of their inventory UoMs.

    • For specific UoMs whose Auto checkbox is not selected in the [Price List Name] - UoM Prices window, prices will be updated directly. After the update, the conversion rules between the inventory UoM price and the specific UoM price will be broken.
