Electronic File Manager: Format Definition (EFM) is an SAP Business One add-on used to enhance the Format Definition add-on. You can use the tool to design different electronic format solutions with the following formats:

  • GEP: Generic format used for generating electronic files based on SAP Crystal Reports RPT files

After you import a GEP format into SAP Business One, a new menu entry for a wizard is added. You can export files using the wizard.

  • BPP: Bank payment file format used for exporting payment data from SAP Business One

This format is used to generate a bank payment file when running the payment wizard.

  • BFP: Bank statement file format used for parsing and importing bank statement data into SAP Business One

    Note Note

BFP is the same format you edit in the Format Definition add-on of SAP Business One 2007 and 8.8.

    End of the note.
  • SPP: Generic format used for various special business purposes.

The SPP format project has two subtypes. For more information, see Subtypes of the SPP Format Project.
