Use this subtab to monitor the changes in the value of an asset over the course of one year.

The current depreciation area and the fiscal year are displayed in the upper right corner of the subtab. You can change them manually to display the values for a different depreciation area or fiscal year.

To access the subtab, from the SAP Business One Main Menu, choose   Financials   Fixed Assets   Asset Master Data  . Select the Fixed Assets tab and then the Values subtab.

Values Subtab Fields
Transaction

Displays the following:

  • Beginning of Year – The asset values displayed in this row are the accumulated values at the beginning of the selected fiscal year.

  • Acquisition, Retirement, Transfer, Write-Up, Ordinary Depreciation, Unplanned Depreciation, Special Depreciation – These are the different types of asset transactions, and the values in these rows are the amounts incurred in the selected fiscal year as a result of the different transactions.

  • End of Year – The asset values displayed in this row are the accumulated values at the end of the selected fiscal year.

Acquisition and Production Costs

Displays the asset's acquisition and production costs at the beginning and end of the year, and shows how the value changes over the course of the year.

Quantity

If the asset is planned for quantity maintenance, the field displays the quantity at the beginning and end of the year, and shows how the quantity changes over the course of the year.

Depreciation

Displays the asset's depreciation amount at the beginning and end of the year, and shows how the value changes over the course of the year.

Write-Up

Displays the asset's write-up amount at the beginning and end of the year, and shows how the value changes over the course of the year.

In SAP Business One, write-up is the increase in an asset's value as a result of manual appreciation or revaluation.

Net Book Value

Displays the asset's net book value at the beginning and end of the year, and shows how the value changes over the course of the year.
