To enable use of the application, you must allocate the appropriate license user type(s) to each of your users.

Note Note

The total number of licenses is shared between all the companies connected to the same license server. Therefore, while you are logged on to a specific company, you may see fewer available licenses than expected.

Prerequisites

  • The current license key file has been imported. For more information, see Importing a License Key File.

  • You have been defined as a superuser.

  • All other users have been defined. For more information, see Users - Setup Window.

  • All other users have logged off from the application.

Procedure

  1. From SAP Business One Main Menu, choose   Administration   License   License Administration  .

    The License Administration window appears.

  2. To prevent other users from allocating licenses at the same time as you, choose the icon.

  3. To see the most recent status of available licenses, choose the Refresh button.

  4. Select a user and specify the appropriate license(s) in the Used column.

    The Available column is updated accordingly.

  5. Repeat this step for each user.

  6. Choose Update.

  7. To check the updated license information per license component, select the Components tab.

    This information includes:

    • The total number of licenses per license component

    • The number of available licenses per license component

    • The start date and expiration date for each license component

    • The machine name of the license server
