The table below explains the colors (background and font colors) and their indications on the MRP Report and Recommendation tabs:

White |
Indicates that there are more supplies than demands. Therefore, the final inventory is greater than zero and the item's quantity is sufficient and there is no need to issue recommendations. Note
End of the note. |
|
Light Grey |
Indicates one of the following:
|
The order for the child items should be issued on July 15, 2011. This is a future date, so there is sufficient time to complete the production. |
Dark Grey |
Indicates that a sufficient supply cannot be received to satisfy the demand in time. In this case, the recommendation and supply quantity appear in red, indicating that though the recommendation for this item is issued anyway, the recommendation cannot be completed to provide sufficient inventory before the due date. The application also marks the Due Date field for this kind of recommendation in red (for the Recommendations tab of MRP wizard step 6, the Order Recommendations window, and the Pegging Information window). |
To complete the order by the due date, the child items should have been issued on July 13. However, this date is in the past. Therefore, the process cannot be completed on time and the cell is dark grey. |
