To ensure that the workflow function operates appropriately, use this window to do the following:

  • Grant user authorizations

  • Import and export the workflow templates

  • Activate and deactivate the workflow templates

  • Remove the workflow templates

The left side of the window displays the imported template. The right side of the window displays information about the template.

To open this window, from the SAP Business One Main Menu, choose   Administration   Workflow   Workflow Manager  .

Note Note

To specify the information displays in the Workflow Manager window fields, use Workflow designer in SAP Business One Studio.

Workflow Manager Window Fields
ID

Displays the ID of the workflow template.

Name

Displays the name of the workflow template.

Version

Displays the version of the workflow template.

Note Note

The combination of the template ID and template version defines a unique template.

Start Type

Displays the start type of the workflow template.

  • Manual Start – this type of process is manually started by the user of SAP Business One.

  • Timer Start – the system starts this type of process automatically based on the timer settings in Workflow designer in SAP Business One Studio.

  • Conditional Start – the system starts this type of process automatically based on the condition settings in Workflow designer in SAP Business One Studio.

Status

Displays the status of the workflow template.

  • Importing – workflow template is being imported, during which time the workflow engine is checking the correctness of the template.

  • Imported – workflow template is imported into SAP Business One.

  • Import Failed – import did not succeed; error occurred during import of the template.

  • Activation Failed — activation did not succeed; error occurred during activation of the template.

Note Note

To view the error information in the Workflow Message Log window, click the link arrow to the left of the Status field when Import Failed or Activation Failed is displayed.

Description

Displays the description of the workflow template.

Define User Authorization

Opens the Authorization window. In this window, you can grant user authorization for workflow windows and workflow templates.

Activate/Deactivate

Activates/Deactivates the workflow template. Once you have chosen this button, Active/Inactive is displayed in the Status field.

Note Note

You can use only active workflow templates. Inactive templates are invalid for the company.

Exports/Imports workflow templates in .xbml format.
