Use this window to preview the bin location codes before you modify them.

To access the window, proceed as follows:

  1. From the SAP Business One Main Menu, choose   Inventory   Bin Locations   Bin Location Code Modification  .

    The Bin Location Code Modification window opens.

  2. Specify the required fields and choose the OK pushbutton.

    The Bin Location Code Modification – Preview window opens.

Table Area Fields
Select

To indicate you want to change the source bin location code into the target bin location, select the checkbox in the relevant row.

To select multiple rows, press the Shift key on your keyboard while selecting the checkboxes.
Source Bin Location Code

Displays the source bin location code that you want to modify.

To view the detailed information about the bin location, open the Bin Location Master Data window by clicking Link Arrow (Link Arrow) to the left of the bin location code.
Target Bin Location Code

Displays the target bin location code into which you want to change the source bin location code.
Target Exists

Displays one of the following:

  • Yes – Indicates the target bin location code already exists.

  • No – Indicates the target bin location code does not exist.
Merging Required

Displays one of the following:

  • Yes – Indicates the merging of bin location codes is required in each of the following situations:

    • The target bin location code already exists.

      As every bin location code is unique in SAP Business One, you must merge the source bin location code with the existing target bin location code to complete the code modification.

    • You have selected several source bin location codes which share one target bin location code, no matter whether the target already exists or not.

      As every bin location code is unique in SAP Business One, you must merge all source bin location codes to complete the code modification.

      Note Note

      To merge the bin location codes in the above two situations, select the Merge Bin Location Codes checkbox in the Bin Location Code Modification – Preview window.

      End of the note.

  • No – Indicates the merging of bin location codes is not required.
Error Details

Displays the error details that explain why you cannot change the source bin location code into the target bin location code.

If there is no anticipated error, the field is blank.

Select the checkbox to merge bin location codes.
