Diagnosis

In the Budget Scenarios - Setup window, you have based one of the scenarios on another scenario, by choosing the latter in the Based On column, and you have chosen Update. However, the scenario you have chosen in the Based On column is based on the original scenario.

Example Example

You have two budget scenarios: BS1 and BS2. BS1 is based on BS2, and BS2 is based on itself. You have tried to base BS2 on BS1 by choosing the value BS1 in the Based On column for BS2, and then choosing Update. Having two scenarios based on each other leads to an indefinite loop.

Procedure

Base the relevant budget scenario on a different budget scenario.
