Diagnosis
You have opened the Projects - Setup window by choosing 
Administration 
Setup Financials Projects 
. You have
tried to remove a project but have failed, because the project has been referenced in one or more transactions or documents.
Procedure
In the Projects - Setup window, choose the Cancel button to stop deleting the project.
