Message

Specify a quantity of the component item that does not exceed the maximum inventory level

Diagnosis

  1. You defined a bill of material for your product, for example, Item100.

  2. In the Item Master Data window, you defined the Maximum inventory level for one of the component items, Item001.

  3. You added a production order for product Item100, with the type of Disassembly.

    The quantity of component Item001, plus its in-stock quantity, would exceed the maximum inventory level you have defined for this item.

  4. In the production order document, you updated the Status field to Released.

  5. You chose   Production   Issue for Production   and then chose the Disassembly Order button.

  6. You chose the disassembly order to add to the Issue for Production form.

Procedure

Do one of the following:

  • Adjust the component item's maximum inventory level.

  • Make sure that the quantity of the component item involved in the disassembly order, plus its in-stock quantity, does not exceed the maximum inventory level you have defined.
