On the Per Document tab of the Document Settings window, you have selected the Reopen Doc. by Creating Returns/Goods Returns/Credit Memos Based on Doc. checkbox for either or both of the following documents:

You have created a sales or purchase order.

You have created a document based on the sales or purchase order.

You have created a return, goods return, or credit memo copying from the document created in step 3.
