Message

The selected quantity of batch/serial numbers is greater than the open quantity

Diagnosis

  1. You have opened the Serial Numbers - Setup window and chosen Automatic Creation....

  2. In the Automatic Serial Numbers Creation window, you have increased the number appearing in the Quantity field and pressed TAB.

Procedure

You can create serial numbers for a quantity that is smaller than or equal to the open quantity of the item, as displayed by default in the Quantity field in the Automatic Serial Numbers Creation window.
