Item '%s' is a non-inventory item; in the item master data, change it to an inventory item

Diagnosis

  1. You have created an inventory item.

  2. You have opened the Inventory Opening Balances or Inventory Posting window with the item included.

  3. In the Item Master Data window, you have changed the item into a non-inventory item.

  4. You have done either of the following:

    • In the Inventory Opening Balances window, you have attempted to enter the initial quantity and price for the item.

    • In the Inventory Posting window, you have attempted to reconcile the inventory posting for the item.

Procedure

In the item's master data, change the item back to an inventory item.
