In "Set Default Value for Field", enter number of characters less than or equal to value in "Length" field
Diagnosis
In the SAP Business One toolbar, you have chosen
Tools 
Customization Tools User-Defined Fields - Management 
.In the User-Defined Fields - Management window, you have chosen the Add button.
In the Field Data window, you have selected the Set Default Value for Field checkbox, and in the field you have entered a value.
However, the value you entered was longer than the length that you indicated in the Length field.
Procedure
Do one of the following:
In the Length field, enter a number that accommodates the length of the default value you want to use.
In the default value field, enter a default value that is equal to or less than the value indicated in the Length field.
