Log File for Microsoft Outlook Integration

SAP Business One provides a central logging function for system messages about the Microsoft Outlook Integration add-on. By default the log files are stored in the Outlook Integration Log subdirectory in your temp directory. You can change the storage directory.

You determine which data is stored in these log files in the SAP Business One - Log Settings window. To access this window, in the Microsoft Outlook menu bar, choose SAP Business One Options Log Settings .

You can define:

Which type of message is saved by the system (errors, warnings, information, debugging runs, traces). Alternatively, you can select to have no log files created (No Logging).
How many log files are saved
How large (in megabytes) each log file can be

You can also change the directory in which the log files are stored (select Store Log Files in Custom Directory).

Structure

A log file contains the following information:

Date
Date on which the message was created. Format: YYYY-MM-DD

Time
Time at which the message was created. Format: HH:MM:SS.mmm

Level
Specify the severity of the message.

Scope
Specify – in combination with the debug level – additional context information.

Message
Message text.
