Procedure

Proceed as follows:

  1. In the NetWeaver Business Client, select a role that allows you to perform revenue accounting tasks.

  2. Choose Start of the navigation path Contract Management Next navigation step Contract Search End of the navigation path.

  3. Use the search function to find the contract for which you want to perform manual price allocation.

  4. Select and open the contract and choose Start of the navigation path Price Allocation Next navigation step Change Allocated Amount End of the navigation path.

  5. The Allocated Amount field displays the amount of the transaction price that is currently allocated to each performance obligation. In the New Allocated Amount field or the Difference field, you can change the value allocated to the performance obligation. If you update one field, the other field is updated automatically.

    • In the New Allocated Amount field, you can specify the amount that you want to allocate to the performance obligation.

    • In the Difference field, you can specify the differential amount that you want to add to or deduct from the current amount.

  6. After you have changed the allocated transaction price, choose Check Allocated Amount or press enter to check the allocated amounts.

    • If the values in the Transaction Price and Total Allocated Amount fields are equal, the Amount Not Allocated entry is marked with a green traffic light. In this case, you have allocated the entire transaction price to the performance obligations in the contract.

    • If the values in the Transaction Price and Total Allocated Amount fields are not equal, the Amount Not Allocated entry is marked with a red traffic light. In this case, either you have not allocated the entire transaction price to the performance obligations, or the total amount that you have allocated to the performance obligations exceeds the total transaction price.

  7. Choose Save.
