You can use this feature to include bill of material (BOM) structures in a revenue accounting contract. When a sales representative creates a sales order, the sales order can include a sales BOM that represents both the finished product and its components. When the system creates a revenue accounting contract for the sales order, it can bring over the sales BOM structure. Consequently, the system organizes the performance obligations in the same structure as they appear in the sales order.
