Function documentationConflict Resolution

You can manually change certain fields of performance obligations after they have been created automatically. However, the back-end operational system may still request more changes to the performance obligations after the manual change. For example, this may occur when a change is made to the corresponding sales order. If you and the back-end system have changed the same attribute, a conflict occurs. In this case, the system puts the contract with conflicting changes in the Contracts with Conflicts worklist. You can review the list and resolve the conflicts.

The worklist displays conflicting changes in the following areas:

  • Changes Made to Attributes

The system lists the attributes that have conflicting changes. For each attribute, you can decide which version of the change is kept.

  • Changes Made to Price Allocation

If you have manually changed the price allocation and then the system has changed something relating to the price, you have to reapply your manual price allocation. This area tracks only changes made directly to the price allocation. Changes that have been made to other attributes and that may affect price allocation are always considered attribute changes instead of price allocation changes.

  • Added or Removed Performance Obligations

Items listed in this area do not require that you make any changes. Instead, the system only lists all added and removed performance obligations for your information.

  • Revenue Schedule

This area lists all the performance obligations in the contract, with a comparison of the old and new transaction prices. Additionally, it allows you to navigate to the revenue schedule user interface.
