Function documentationReprocessing

In some scenarios, you have to reprocess certain objects following changes that have been made to configurations or to the logistics application. For example, after applying correct configurations, you have to regenerate certain objects that already have incorrect attributes. Revenue Accounting supports the following types of reprocessing:

  • Reprocessing account determination

The reprocessing of account determination works as follows:

    • The system reprocesses account determination using the account on the latest condition types passed from the logistics application.

    • This process only updates the accounts and account assignment data determined. It does not derive the attributes of performance obligations again.

    • Reprocessing updates only items for which revenue postings have not been made. It does not update items for which revenue postings have already been transferred to the general ledger.

    • You can use this function to fix accounts that have been determined incorrectly for the contract.

  • Reprocessing contracts

The reprocessing of contracts works as follows:

    • The system regenerates certain objects, such as performance obligations.

    • The system retrieves all condition types, including new condition types, to address the changes made to the operational document.

    • The system re-derives attributes of performance obligations and updates the performance obligations.

    • You can use this function to fix attributes that have been derived incorrectly for performance obligations in the contract.
