Function documentationRegular Monitoring

The accountant may be particularly interested in certain contracts after they have been created or updated. Therefore, you may want to save these contracts in a review worklist so they can be monitored regularly.

Examples

  • You want to review all newly created performance obligations.

  • You want to review performance obligations that have been manually changed.

  • You want to review performance obligations that have large amounts (greater than a threshold amount).

  • You want to review time-based performance obligations that do not have a start date specified.

  • You want to review all changes made to prices and quantities.

  • You want to monitor certain performance obligations regularly.

Note Note

The regular monitoring worklist tracks both the contract status and the performance obligation status. If any of the performance obligations have the status Pending Review, the status of the contract is set to Pending Review.

End of the note.
Review Reasons

Each scenario that requires review can be associated with a review reason. The review reason identifies why this performance obligation is sent to the worklist for review. The review reason also determines whether revenue postings must be suspended for this performance obligation until it has been reviewed and confirmed.
