Procedure documentationDefining the Connection of the ILM Store to SRS

 

If you want to use Storage and Retention Service (SRS) to manage ILM stores, you need to establish a connection on the AS ABAP on which SRS runs for every ILM store available on the WebDAV server.

Procedure

  1. In the ILM cockpit of the application system, choose Start of the navigation path Services for Settings Next navigation step HTTP Connections End of the navigation path (transaction SM59 ).

  2. Choose Start of the navigation path Edit Next navigation step Create End of the navigation path.

  3. Enter the following general data:

    • RFC Destination: Name of the HTTP connection

    • Connection Type: G (HTTP connection to external server)

  4. Define the HTTP connection as follows:

    • Target Host: Host name or IP address of the WebDAV-Server

    • Service No.: Port of the WebDAV Server

    • Path Prefix: Initial path to the root collection of the ILM store

      Note Note

      If you provide multiple ILM stores on a WebDAV server, make sure that no root collection is a hierarchy node above or below another root collection.

    Logon and Security

    You do not need to log on with a WebDAV server user, but we do recommend that you use at least Basic Authentication (user and password) to log on. You can also set up a logon with SSL.

    Special Options

    • Timeout: Optional: To avoid timeouts, adjust the timeout settings.

    • HTTP Version: No default setting, however, we recommend HTTP 1.1

    • Accept Cookies: No default setting, however, we recommend Yes (all)
