You can store a default value for the response time of a business object in Customizing.

Procedure

  1. Open the Customizing activity. You have two options for doing this:

    • Transaction SARA: First, enter the technical name of the archiving object and then choose Start of the navigation path Goto Next navigation step Customizing Next navigation step Application-Specific Customizing: Maintain BO-Specific Residence Time End of the navigation path.

    • SAP Customizing Implementation Guide: Choose Start of the navigation path Cross-Application Components Next navigation step Processes and Tools for Enterprise Applications Next navigation step Reusable Objects and Functions for BOPF Environment Next navigation step Archiving Adapter Next navigation step Maintain BO-Specific Residence Periods End of the navigation path.

  2. Create a new entry if required.

  3. Enter the following data:

    • Business Object: Enter /IAM/ACT for activities or /IAM/ISSUE for issues.

    • BO Usage (corresponds to the application in the component IAM): Enter QIM.

    • BO Node Name: Leave the field blank.

    • Residence Period: Enter your required residence period for the business object in days.

Result

The residence period stored in Customizing is displayed as the default value when you create the preprocessing variant.
