If you want to create a link to a quality notification, you can create a new notification in the SAP system directly from Project Management and link it to a project element. To do this, choose the object type Quality Notification (QM) (Creation Optional). If the notification type you enter requires an external number assignment, you have to enter a number. If the notification type does not permit external number assignment, the system assigns the number automatically and you cannot enter it manually.

You can use the OLR3_NOTIFICATION BAdI to specify that certain data, for example, the number or the notification type is assigned automatically. The BAdI can be found in the ERP system in Customizing under  Logistics - General Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Collaboration Projects Object Links from cProjects BAdI: Creating a QM Notification .
