Function documentationIntegration with SAP Environmental Compliance

If you are using SAP Environmental Compliance (SAP EC), you can link portfolio items and initiatives with facilities in SAP Environmental Compliance using an object link. This is relevant, for example, when you are using Portfolio Management to plan and implement facility-related improvements such as the reduction of energy consumption or emissions. The object link enables you to access current facility data directly from the item or initiative.

Integration

SAP Energy and Environmental Intelligence (SAP EEI) collects energy-related data from various applications for combined analysis. Using the object link, facility data extracted from SAP Environmental Compliance can be related to item data extracted from SAP Portfolio and Project Management.

Prerequisites

  • You are using SAP Environmental Compliance 3.0 support package 15 or higher and have created the required facilities.

  • You have configured object links to object type Facility (EC).

For more information, see the attachment SAP Portfolio and Project Management: Configuration in SAP Note 2026421Information published on SAP site under Start of the navigation path Portfolio Management: Configuration Next navigation step Business Customizing Next navigation step Setting Up Object Links (Portf. Mgmt) Next navigation step Setting Up Object Links to Facilities in SAP Environmental Compliance End of the navigation path.

Features

You create object links in the Relationships view of items and initiatives. Use object type Facility (EC) to link to a facility in SAP Environmental Compliance. This object type supports the following functions:

  • During the creation of the object link, a search help is provided, which enables you to search for facilities in SAP Environmental Compliance using criteria such as facility name, category, or type.

  • Once the link has been created, you can display facility header data such as facility name, type, validity or status within the item or initiative.

  • From the item or initiative, you can navigate to the master data, emissions management, and compliance management for the assigned facility in the SAP Environmental Compliance system.
